everyone's doing it
and so i thought, 'why not join in? be one of the crowd.'
being one of the crowd, for me, however, did not extend to wearing a lei. i drew the line. so instead my brother sent me an enormous flower arrangement. this is logical when you know that he is currently working as an unpaid assistant at a gardening/flower shop. my brother picks up odd hobbies, much like he picks up odd everything--pets, people...
it was quite delightful to be done with this school. and also a little sad. but then there was an incredibly delicious dinner at aziza with mom and kristen to celebrate.
and currently there are all the pictures that the lovely kristen took with my camera. she really got into the whole business. she would take a picture of anything. solidarity, sister.

there’s going to be a present? there’s presents? i wasn’t really expecting presents. not that i’ll turn them down or anything. i’m not crazy.

p.s. people. i should have warned you before, but i’ve totally sent the link to all my graduation pictures to my cohort AND my program director AND i was going to send them to my boss. i’m not so sure now what with you all going around commenting on my cleavage.
also, marina, the guy who you thought was checking out my breasts? totally was. i thought, no, jan wouldn’t do that, he’s gay. but tonight at dinner he said, and i quote, “you have very nice boobs and i appreciate them.”
apparently i managed at some point to indecently expose myself (i was too embarrassed to ask him if this actually meant NIPPLE, but i’m pretty sure that’s what he meant.)
then also tonight at dinner jan was talking about how he wanted kids but no woman has offered and i said, and i quote, “well, i could, after all, i have nice breasts.”
