Using blogs, individuals or groups post a running commentary on topics that interest them–politics, technology, pop culture….nearly anything at all. uc berkeley is turning blogging into a class! a class! i wish i could take that actually….
speaking of blogs though. i found a fascinating new subculture of blogs. the webcam girls. oh jesus christ. these things are amazing. there’s semi-naked pictures. if you go to the hardcore one (camwhores) then there’s uhhh….really nasty stuff going on. anyway all they do is blog about thier lives and things they’re doing and ask for presents. they actually ask for presents! they all have links to amazon wishlists. and they all appear to know one another and talk about one another and link to one another. and generally they seem to range between 16-18 years of age. it’s insane. i am so impressed by this whole concept. (sexpot)
i like the layout of this one and how she talks about being a camgirl all the fucking time.
and this one got some poor schmo to but her a $450 digital camera. fer fuck’s sake.
goddammit. i just got totally sucked back into that world for like the last 45 minutes. did i finish this post? no? am i taking lunch? no. fuck me. argh. don’t go look at these camgirls. and whatver you do don’t then start looking at other ones off of theirs. it’s a vicious vicious cycle.
Man I was going to talk about the UCB blogging class too! Damn you for beating me to the punch. Read that paper when you got the mail huh?…hee hee
i smoke you on my super fast journalistic skills!
my friend Lina on shutitdown.net doesn’t even post herself nude and she gets strangers to buy herself madd loot.
you see! that’s what i’m talking about! no nudie and yet free gifts! unfair! i want free gifts….and she has cute little sugar gliders too. oh so cute and chinchilla fuzzy looking.
They are so sweet too. They love to be held and petted. They are tiny little things but their eyes are HUGE!!
I want free stuff too. Lina has received TV’s and cameras and clothes……
…put the mouse down and step away from the computer.
are you trying to say that you’re not going to buy tracy and me lots of presents, marc? cause that ain’t cool.
ps. i will send directions to the party locale tomorrow after lunch, sorry for the lateness of it but i need to find out what the street names are. cause fuck if i know. but it’ll prob start sometime around 7ish.
yea michele.. how did i get here? =P
HWEE!! i get long-hai comments! when are you coming back to visit us? (mind you this requires calling me when you are HERE.) hmmmm we need to plan another southbound trip so WE can visit YOU. maybe this time you will actually be there. unlike the last 2 times. you slippery devil.
i bought presents for you. remember?
what? when? i don’t remember this.
oh shit. never mind.
that was fantasy michele i was thinking of.
My dad and I discussed this recently – they had an article on it in the Chron in which someone predicted the course would be the “Altamont of the blogging movement.” Of course, the class on Tupac’s poetry hasn’t destroyed gangsta rap yet…
