baby, i’m a spending fool.
can i spend $3300 on your mom’s credit card? that sounds like fun…
Oh my god do you know how many cookies you could buy with that?!
i’m assuming a lot of cookies. but just think, i’ll soon be buying whatever constitutes cookies in turkey. soooo, i’m going to go with baklava, but i’m sure they have actual cookies too of some sort. and london biscuits. mmmm biscuits. particularly those chocolate dipped ones. yum!
the $3300 was not all just for me, mind. it’s divided three ways for tickets for my mom, my aunt, and i. so really, on myself, i only spent $1100. that’s still a lot of cookies.
why the fuck is it so expensive to go to europe though? that’s what i want to know. 1100? i could go to asia! that’s a lot farther away. lame.
Ooooh, baklava. Stop it, you rascal you! I’m not that kind of girl! Well, maybe.
I should have the rest of the day off to bake.
$1100 is ridiculous, though. Jacob and I keep telling each other we want to go to the UK, and then we realize we don’t have a thousand dollars for airfare, and then despair ensues.
in the off season (so, january) you could go to london for like $500.
and honestly, my ticket to and from london is only 900, it’s the aditional 270 for travel to greece from london which is pushing it up.
ok that equals 1170 and not 1100, but i never said i had good math skills. but the point is that it’s still cheaper than the direct to greece flights (yet still with layovers in germany and canada) which were in the 1600 range.
ha h! i was just looking at flights to new zealand (for my proposed october trip with nuala) and there was a flight on korean air for the low, low price of $5. i casually tried not to blink and thus alert the gnomes in the screen to the fact that they’d fucked up the number somehow. but when i tried to purchase it they finally caught on to thier error and changed it to $1600.
Gnomes! Damn those gnomes! How did they know without you blinking?
$900 isn’t bad for London in the high season. You can probably get better rates if they have last minute deals but for your trip that’s not really an option.
The airfares to New Zealand are insane right now but I know that last year around that time they were much much cheaper with special fares to get people to go so I am hoping of the same drop off in the rate. Also a little bird told me about a travel agency that gets cheaper rates on the airlines because they specialize in booking to New Zealand and Austrailia….
