…my weirdness, i have become a baseball cap (hat? cap? i don’t know) wearer. i put it on yesterday and drove to i heart teriyaki for lunch (at 3pm). never noticed before, but now people in baseball hats draw my eye like silly string aimed at an unsuspecting foe. i feel like part of something. a larger community. of people wearing baseball hats. not other hats. not those four weddings and a funeral monstrosities, only the simple elegance of a baseball aficionado. we are one. we are brothers and sisters in a common element. i look at them and my heart feels at peace. i speak out to them and say, ‘you beese my homies, bro.’

Hey man, I have a favorite baseball cap. It’s the most comfortable hat ever! I found it at this party almost 5 years ago. I tried to find the kids who it belonged to… but to no avail. So I took it home and washed it (very necessary) and have had it ever since.

It was an Ohio State cap, or something. It has a big O on the front and it said Ohio State on the side of the cap part. But I didn’t want that so I undid all the stiching until it only said HI.

Anyway, I love it. I haven’t worn it in a long time, but my fervor for it’s comfy-ness has been resurected by your entry. Mmmmm. Thanks.
