keep in mind…he doesn’t live with us. soooo, she’s not so put upon. YET. but it’s nice to know that my friends are looking out for her. 😛

especially since my need to get a kitten is totally going to burden her.

but did you see the pictures? he’s kind of ugly right? fricking adam and his buying of a purebred dog instead of a rescue dog. that makes me sad.

sean, did you KNOW he wants to get a skunk? it’s right up there with his wallabee farm idea.

Michele says : “keep in mind…he doesn’t live with us.”

Has Adam not living with your mom ever prevented him from either leaving his animals to live in your mother’s house, causing the floor to be in an interim state of completion for 3 years, or storing his belongings + sleeping in your moms house? I think Adam “not living with you” is really just a state of mind, not an actual condition of reality.

well, at the moment he’s moving in with his girlfriend. AND curtis finished the floors. well…ok, except for that part by the bathroom.

the puppy has a cold. and sometimes he poops on himself. or eats his own poop.

don’t those type of dogs get really big? no one wants to live with a big dog that eats his own poop. because let’s be honest, at some point, your mom is going to have to live with that dog.

possibly you need to show this comment thread to your family: your brother so that he is inspired by all this negative publicity to step up to his dog owning responsibilities, and your mom so she knows that she has like six unexpected friends rooting for her and her house.

Rescue puppy! Rescue puppy! That is the part you should have put your (or your mom’s) foot down about! Put it down now and get a shelter kitten if you have to go burdening people with cats! Damnit!

Besides, you’re totally wrong about the ugly part. There’s a Mexican saying that no hay quinceaneras feas — that is, there are no ugly fifteen-year-olds. Likewise, there are no ugly puppies in my book. Anything that is like a dog, but too small and too uncoordinated, is adorable.

michele always gets rescue cats. she almost brought home a six toed cat!

i want to mention that i have seen ugly 15 year olds and ugly puppies, and i tend to think a six toed cat would also be pretty ugly.

My sister has a six-toed cat, and it’s also quite cute. It makes the cat look like much younger, since the cat looks like it’s still growing into its giant feet. I will reserve my comments about the cuteness of 15-year-olds for a more private forum.

I would like to reiterate what everyone else has already said:

1)The dog is ugly and sad, just like so many 15-year-olds.

2)Your brother’s current address has no bearing on the inevitability of his ditching his pets.

3)If you do not put your collective foot down now, you will eventually find yourselves living with a skunk.

4)There are now seven of us rooting for your mom…

    5)your poor mom.

Michele, if for some unknown “foot not being put down” reason that the dog ends up staying at your place, I will gladly make a 10 hour trip to pick up the dog and bring him back with me.

I would like a dog, although it would cost me $300 just to have it in my apartment. But if Adam does get bored, and isnt taking care of it, and doesnt put it up for adoption, then I would seriously consider taking care of it.
