on sunday i went to alcatraz.
there were small birds (baby birds). they were cute! we said, “fluffies” all the time. i took a lot of pictures.
i saw the kanji (chinese character) for “prison”. it was very interesting.
marina and jolie and i walked together. i became tired. the weather was a little cool, but pretty. i thought it intended to rain, but it didn’t.
i went to alcatraz by boat. i love boats. when i was a child, my family would often ride boats. i didn’t get sick very often. my mom said, “my kid is very healthy.” my mom was funny, she is still funny.

see it’s lame when it’s translated. it was a lot more interesting when you had no idea what i was saying, wasn’t it?
FLUFFIES!
Two days until catcatcat.
All I understand is FLUFFIES, and I think maybe it has something to do with the person in a box character in kanji? Translation please.
ps-One of my professors is trying to help me get into UCSD’s econ program for next freaking fall!!!
dianna- i wrote you about times on saturday. but i sent it to your other email not your work one since i wasn’t sure if you were ok with having personal email to your work email. um. yes. cat cat cat! i told my mom to have her looking pretty for you. my mom said she appears to roll in spider webs in the backyard. i said, uh-oh, jacob doesn’t like spiders. (by the time you come though, i’ll have her looking spiff, don’t you worry.)
marina, did you not recognize YOUR OWN NAME? fluffies has nothing to do with prison. one is in brackets being used as a quotation device and one is in brackets for being a foreign word.
i kind of don’t want to translate it. after all, it’s not my fault you can’t read japanese.
no year off for you! back to school! this is good, right? i think this is good. yey!
that was overly and unnecessarily long. sorry.
of course it would be good since then i could move on with my life faster, especially since i’m not moving too fast to look for a real job. though not so sure this is going to work anymore, since he doesn’t have any real clout in the econ dept, just political science. we’ll see. hopefully know more soon.
translate it. bitch. 🙂
sorry for the length since that seems to be an issue.
MEAN. hello. but anyway, i did translate it a couple hours ago. it’s in the original post.
Holy hannah, this fall! Marina, that would be so cool. You’re makin my 1-2 years off look damn right slackerish.
Michele, are there pictures? I guess I should go read the part of the post that’s not in Japanese.
no pictures yet. there will be pictures on saturday. i gave the film to my mom tonight with instructions for development.
“i thought it intended to rain” — is that literal? i love that.
yes. very literal. and quite likely grammatically incorrect in japanese. i’m not sure if you can use to omo iru (to believe) with tsumori deshita (intended) like i did.
